Chix Chat

Welcome! I call this blog "Chix Chat" because this is where I plan to post the letters that my "e-pal" Michele and I have written. We started writing seven years ago today, when I saw her name on a Christian pen-pal site and wrote to her. She wrote back and we’ve been writing ever since.

Some of the letters were lost due to computer crashes, deleted email accounts, etc. (Oh, that I had thought to start a blog back then!) However, plenty of our writings are still around, and I’ll post them here.

Things to keep in mind when reading this blog.

I’ll be posting the emails mostly unedited. Any changes made will be done to protect our privacy. Please overlook any spelling and grammatical errors.

If you know us - whether in Real Life or from the ‘Net - please be aware that sometimes we vent about situations or people we know. Please don’t let this hurt your feelings. Sometimes a person just has to get something off her chest - and then she gets over it and moves on.

Hi Anne!

I was very glad to recieve a response from you.  I would love to add you to my list of on-line friends.

Let me tell you a little bit more about myself.  I’m 27 (actually, I’ll turn 28 this month), I’m single and I’m an assistant manager at a Hallmark store where I live.  I have one sister, Danielle who is also my best friend.  She’s 24.

I enjoy all kinds of music, especially Celtic, classic rock, contempoary  Christian, country and Enigma, which is in a class all by itself!

As far as movies go, I love romantic comedies like Sleepless In Seattle and Return to Me, but I have a broad range of favorites. The last movie I saw at the theatre was The Mummy Returns, which I enjoyed a lot.

Some of my favorite tv shows are Touched By An Angel, The X-Files, The Fugitive (2000) and Who’s Line Is It Anyway

I am an aspiring writer who has a passion for reading.  Some of my favorite authors are Steven King, VC Andrews, Frank Peretti and I love The Chicken Soup For The Soul series.

And some of the actors who I have the "hots" for are Arnold Vosloo (The Mummy, The Mummy Returns), Tim Daly (Wings, The Fugitive) and Mitch Pileggi (The X-Files)

I looked onto your website, but only briefly.  I will look into it with more detail after I send this e-mail out to you.
