I was so pleased to see your reply!
I thought that I’d tell you a bit about myself - I don’t put all of my info on the web site for security purposes, you know! (In fact, my email address on the site is not this "main" one, but a free web-based email address.)
First of all, at the moment, I don’t have a connection to the internet at my house, so I use my work computer for all of my emailing. Because of that, it may take a day or two for me to respond, since I only work Monday - Friday during the day.
I’m single, also. I have a sister, Sara, who is four years older than I am. We don’t have much in common, but we’re pretty close just from spending so much time together!
I work full-time at a small company (about 20 employees) as their secretary/Jill-of-all-trades. I have a part-time job with ***** inventory service - it’s a very part-time job. (In the last two weeks, I’ve worked about ten hours with them.) I started the extra job to reduce my debt and pay off some old loans. I’m happy to say that I’ve done that, so now I’m saving up for a new computer!
I’m attending college - working on a BS in Civil Engineering (with a Math Minor). I’ve been taking classes mostly part-time since 1995. I’m supposed to graduate around Fall 2003.
I, too, like just about all kinds of music and a wide-range of movies. I would have to say that my favorite movie is "The Princess Bride." Most recently, I’ve seen "the Mexican" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." I liked both of them pretty well.
My favorite obsession - ahem! - actor right now is David Boreanaz (from the show Angel). I even went to see his movie "Valentine", although I don’t watch many gory/slasher pics.
My favorite shows are Angel (what a surprise!), Charmed, and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. (I’ve always liked those "sci-fi/fantasy" shows like Sliders and Quantum Leap.) I also like Frasier, and sometimes I find myself watching (and being amused by) "That 70s Show" or "Two Guys and a Girl."
Some of the hobbies that I do on a regular basis are reading, tinkering with the computer/website, exercising and watching TV. When I get the time, I love to go hiking on nature trails or just walk outside when the weather’s nice. I like to sing, and I participate in our church choir, when my work schedule permits me to go to church. I’ve sung solos at church before, but the last time I did (1998, I think) I felt that it was *not* good, so now I mostly sing in the car!
Oh, yes! My last name is *****. (Yeah, it happens!) When I started to work here, my boss assigned my email as "*****" - my first name starts with *. Three times the other day, I received emails that began "Dear Miss *****…" I figure it’s close enough and about as good!
I see your birthday’s this month - what day? (Mine’s October 1.)
What kind of stories do you write?
How long have you been an assistant manager?
I know that I’ll think of something else to say as soon as I send this. If I do, I’ll just save it for later!
