Subject: You say it’s your birthday?

Hello, Michele!

Early Happy Birthday! If I don’t get to write to you tomorrow, I’ll be sending some Happy Birthday thoughts your way! Do you have any big plans?

Re: "off-color jokes," I get plenty of them from the guys I work with - I think that started when I was forwarding to them some of the better ones that I received. (I admit, I laugh at a few of them myself: I’ll send some that I found amusing!) I don’t mind getting them as long as they’re not *too* … explicit. (Is that the word I’m looking for? Close enough.) This is my - rather public - work computer, and my computer genius associates have pretty easy access to it!

Speaking of which, I will probably not be at work on Monday - I have to report for JURY DUTY! Drat! My number came up so-to-speak when I was living and working out of town, but they excused me. I plan to tell them that I work at a small office and we are moving to a new location and I really need to be at work. Hopefully when I’m off on Monday I can take my car to the shop and have its wonky transmission looked at.

No, I’ve never been to Pittsburgh. The farthest North that I’ve been is Madison, Wisconsin. (Have you ever been there?) I went there on a "class trip" in 1996 when my school (*****) won the National ***** Championship.

Re: soaps, I used to watch Days of our Lives a few years ago, but somehow I fell out of touch! When I last watched Kristin was scheming to marry John, I think Sammy was in a wheelchair faking amnesia and I believe it was about to come out that Austin wasn’t Will’s father. I still read the blurb in TV Guide that sums up the week’s events, although I don’t recognize many of the characters names!

I was sorry to read about your grandparents being sick for so long - I know that it is a tough time!

I know that going to church doesn’t save a person or make them a better person or anything. My family and I are mostly "Sunday morning Christians" these days, and we don’t usually discuss "religious" things too much at home. I like going to church because I like being around people who seem stronger in their faith than I am.

I know what you mean about worrying! I find myself questioning a lot of things, some days more than others.

I will remember your prayer requests. I’ll include both of our worries and questions!

I’ll talk to you soon! Happy Birthday! God Bless You!
Anne
