Subject: its me! How exciting! :-)

Hi Anne!

I hope you’re feeling better.  I don’t know what’s the worst: a sore throat, a headache, or an upset stomach.  Once I had the flu and was "blessed" with all three.  Talk about agony!

Rebecca St James does sing "Pray".  A few other songs that she sings that you may be familiar with are "God" and "You’re The Voice." I don’t know if I mentioned my other favorite Christian artists (besides her and Cindy Morgan).  They are (among others) Steven Curtis Chapman, DC Talk, Newsboys, Point Of Grace, Kathy Troccoli, Jars Of  Clay, Amy Grant, and Carman.  Amy Grant was the very first Christian singer I started listening to (right after I gave my life to Christ at 18).  I just thought she was the greatest.  I have very conflicting emotions about her divorce with Gary Chapman.  Gosh, if that would have happened when I was younger, I would have been devastated.  Now, while I am very disappointed, I realize that things happen in life and just because she is a Christian and got divorced, it doesn’t mean that all marriages are doomed.

That’s nice that you go to a singles class.  I wish my church would have something like that.  Its next to impossible meeting anyone around here.  A few years ago, my sister joined a Christian dating service.  She met a couple guys, and went out on a few dates, but it didn’t develop into anything.  I don’t know, I’m very wary of dating services.  I wouldn’t waste my money on them.  A couple more friends of mine tried dating services to no avail- they’re still single.  I just want to trust God completely with my love life.  Not that I’m saying that I expect God to drop a man at my feet (but wouldn’t that be nice? (lol)) but I just want to and go places and do things, not to meet a man but to enjoy my life.  When God wants me to meet my soul mate (if I haven’t already), I’m going to meet him.  Everyone tells me "its going to happen to you when you least expect it."  I just have to believe in God’s perfect timing.

Thanks for thinking my book sounds good.  Yes, Faith’s mom is wary that her daughter is dating Alexander, but its more than the age difference.  I won’t tell you what it is, you’re just going to have to find out when you read it! emoticon

Oh, I’m not ashamed to tell people who I like (celebrity wise).  Nora interviewed a girl today and her name is Michelle too.  Nora said to me, "if I hire her, how are we going to tell you two apart?  I don’t want to call for you and have the wrong MIchele coming."  I said, "That’s ok, just call me Mrs. Arnold Vosloo.  or you can call me Mrs. Scary bald guy!"  Nora laughed and I said, "Yeah,  "scary"  my ass!"

Danielle and I did go to the movies on Thursday night.  We saw two movies (we’ll do that sometimes).  We saw Shrek (which was really cute.  I really liked it) and The Mummy Returns for the second time.  Oh my goodness gracious Arnold Vosloo is soooo sexy!  I must have a thing for bald men.  Well, not all bald men!  Most guys look pretty stupid bald, but there are an elite few who can pull it off, and Arnold is one of them!  I’d rather date man who was bald than a man who had really long hair.  THat annoys me.  To me if a man is confidant enough to walk around bald- that is sexy!

Have I mentioned that men with accents also drive me crazy?  May I humbly present my celebrity men with accents who I have it bad for list:  Arnold Vosloo (naturally!), Mel Gibson, Sam Neil, Gabriel Byrne, and Liam Neeson.  Oh, La La!

Fortunately for me I never had to deal with pushy friends and geeky brothers.  If your friend keeps pressuring you to meet her friend’s brother tell her to leave you the @*$! alone!  Heres another law of nature (remember the one about cute and nice men usually being married?)  Usually when you like someone, they don’t like you back and someone you don’t like likes you!  SO FRUSTRATING!!!  I was a cashier at a grocery store for five years.  I had a huge crush on one of the local customers, Chaz.  He was much older than me, and he was extremely good looking.  He flirted with me and all that but he never went as far as to ask me out. (fyi- he really wasn’t a guy I should have been thinking about going out with.  That’s a whole different story all together).  Anyway,  this other guy, Jimmy, who was this total loser (I hate to be mean, but its true!) would come in all the time and bother me.  I knew,  much to my dismay that he liked me.  He even went as far as to give Danielle (she worked there too) his phone number to give to me!  I wanted to cry!  I lied and told him as nicely as I could that I already had a boyfriend (God, I know we’re not supposed to lie, but do you want me to tell him the truth and say "I think you’re a disgusting cretin?").  Also, at the same time Monica (one of the managers) mentioned to me how I would make a "cute" couple with Kerry, one of the floor managers.  She only mentioned it in passing.  She didn’t want to "fix us up" or anything.  Kerry was a really nice guy, but I had absolutely no attraction to him.  I thought "God, why can’t someone, it doesn’t necessarily have to be Chaz, who I’m attracted to be interested in me?"  Like I said before, SO FRUSTRATING!!!

Well, I think I talked your ear off long enough!  Hope you have a good weekend!  Until next time, take care and God bless!
