Subject: Open Office Party!

Hi, Michele!

Yep, the boss is away; I’m tearing myself away from dancing on the tables and doing the limbo long enough to drop you a few lines. :)

WOOHOO! No homework for this weekend - I believe that’s the first time that’s happened! It’s only fair, since our prof has run over his allotted time for the last two class sessions.

Thanks for congratulating me! That reminds me of Patrick, who used to work at the Cracker Barrel with me. If anyone told him, "Bite me!" he would! I started telling him, "Give me $20!" Oddly, he never did.

I have posted two of your SERVICE! stories on my site. Trying to get organized with that Angel site is just about driving me to drink! (Not kidding!) Specifically, I’m trying to take over the message board. The name of the message board company is "ezboard." They need to call it just "board"! (Maybe the EZ stands for the Eleven Zimas that you need to have had to find their board easy!)

So did you count? Is this our centennial email? Wow! I was thinking the other day, "I’m glad Michele writes a lot to me." (No, really!) A lot of people send one casual email every couple of weeks, and that’s fine, but I don’t feel like I’m connecting so much to that kind of person, you know?

We are on the same page (what a surprise!) about that Scary Baby Responsibility business. I was just thinking the same thing the other day - what a major responsibility it would be to have that tiny, totally dependent one.

Re: your computer locking up story, I just know that if I had a "naughty" picture on the screen that the computer would pick that moment to lock up, too!
**recommendations**
movie - True Lies
TV show - Perfect Strangers
cd - The End Of the Innocence/Don Henley

Good moments (I can’t recall a funny one, so I’m including one that I really liked!) From My So-Called Life: Angela was in the hall at her high school, figuring the popular guy that she was secretly seeing would ignore her as usual. Instead, he walks right up to her, takes her hand and they walk down the hall.

new questions!

are you one to forgive and forget or do you hold a grudge?- I really try to forgive, but I’ll admit that I have a tough time forgetting some things!

dream wedding- a medieval wedding in a castle in Ireland.  ooohhh! That sounds FABULOUS! I also know of a young couple who flew to Jamaica and had a wedding at a pristine island spot. (Given the choice, I’d rather have the medieval castle one - I’ve always been fascinated by castles! What little girl hasn’t pretend to be a princess?)

Would you rather get one big gift or a bunch of little gifts (for Christmas, birthday etc)? A bunch of little ones, especially if it’s what I asked for: items for my future new house. (Just everyday dishes, silverwear, measuring cups, etc.)

would you rather work at a crappy job but with fantastic pay or a job you love with a mediocre pay?- The job I love.  Ditto!

If you’re eating out or go through the drive thru and something is wrong with your order, do you point it out or do you just keep quiet and eat it?- If it’s nothing major, I’ll keep quiet.  I feel the same as you! I know how I felt when people complained about every little thing.

do you know how to hula-hoop?- yes

play jacks?- I think I remember how

play hopscotch?- yes

ever have/had a Nintendo?- no :( but I have played and like SuperMario

have you ever been on tv?  Yes!

NEW QUESTIONS

Are you a light sleeper or hard to wake up? I used to be a very light sleeper, but now I’m more of a sleep-through-the-alarm kind of girl!

Do y’all have cable? No, although I’m seriously considering paying for it and having it put in!

How many times are your ears pierced? One (in each ear)

What is a really funny event/time you remember? I was in fifth grade or so, and I was outside with the kid next door - Jessica. We were doing our kid thing, and I looked down and a "cinch bug" was walking up my sock toward my leg. FYI - a cinch bug is a beetle maybe 1 and 1/2 inches long with pinchers sprouting out from its head. I just knew that it was going to pinch on to my leg, so I started hopping around, screaming and kicking/shaking my leg out. Poor Jessica was dumbfounded for a minute, then she had the bright idea for me to try to scrape it off on the nearby fence post. That worked. Then we laughed - a lot - over my hysterics. I was standing in the front yard, too, on our busy street, so I’m sure passers by were getting quite a show! I was near tears just now as I was thinking about it. (It may have been one of those "you had to be there" moments.)

Are you superstitious about Friday the 13th? No. I tell people, "That’s always a good day for me!" The question is: is it really such a good day, or do I just really believe that it’s a good day? Heck, if I believe that it is, then it is!

If you could know when you were going to die, would you want to? No, because I’m sure I wouldn’t be able to think of anything else, and I’d be like, "Why do anything?"

What was your least favorite sport/game that they made us play in school? Basketball, because when I had the ball the big, scary, athletic girls would be all in my face and always take the ball from me - usually quickly!

What was your most favorite sport/game that they made us play in school? Volleyball. When I was in fifth grade or so, I was serving for our team, and I served 15 shots and earned 15 points all in a row! Game! Set! Match! (Looking back, it was no big feat because the other team would hardly move to try to return the ball - most would move to avoid contact with it!)

That’s it for now. Talk to you soon! God bless!
