Subject: Oh …. really?
Hi, Michele!
Yes, I had a very nice weekend (NO homework due today!): the weather here was perfect - low humidity, cloudless blue skies, etc. How was the weather there - was it bearable?
I also am one to say the very clever "Oh … really?" response when people try to say something conversational. It’s especially tricky when talking to someone like the bank teller; I mean, you don’t want to mess them up while they’re counting, but you don’t want to stand there looking suspicious either.
This morning, I’ve been working on that Angel’s Secret site. (Yes, I *should* have been doing some of my job work!) So many decisions! I was going to link to my site from the Angel site, but I’ve decided against that for now: who knows what sort of freaks would write to me? (The chick that ran the site before advised me to use a different email than my main one: to quote her, "you should see some of the weird, creepy emails I’ve received.")
Ah, yes, the inventory at Frederick’s. (I got that "shaft of his being" line from a romance novel!) It’s funny you should mention David and Arnold - I was picturing one - or both
- of them there helping me pick out something nice for our evening. I was the only girl from *****; three ***** guys were there. My first area to count was what I called the Lady Marmalade section: there were long silky gloves, lace-up corset type things, and feather boas. I didn’t have to count any weird - uh - masks! (I agree with you - if my husband wore one of those, I’d be laughing - a lot! - and that would probably dampen the sexy mood!)
Speaking of "sexy mood," I did NOT know that AV was in an ep of Nash. I can’t recall when I started watching that show, but I’m sure that I have been for a while. I do remember him on the Charmed episode … I believe I already mentioned that!
I don’t mind if you talk about Chaz - I wish I knew someone that I could feel like that about! And I honestly do NOT believe that something happening between you and him (he?) is out of the question: who’s to say what God’s plan is? With God, anything *is* possible! Did you say that you knew where Chaz is now?
**recommendations**
movie - What’s Love Got To Do With It?
TV show - 3rd Rock From The Sun
cd - Permanent Vacation/ Aersomith (I love Jo Dee Messina!)
funny moment- From Are You Being Served? Mr. Humphries was showing a customer the available bath robes; he put on a Japanese style robe. He was speaking normally and then suddenly screamed "HI-YA!!" and nearly karate kicked the man’s neck. In the next instant he was speaking normally apologizing for being overcome.
new questions - answered
have you ever seen a physciatrist or a counselor- no, although I probably have needed to!
are you a phone person?- I used to not be, but working at this job, I have become a holy terror on the phone! I’m not the least bit intimidated by pushy telemarketers, or by calling places myself to ask questions. (When I started working here, the lady boss would say, "Call so-and-so and ask this." So I would. When I would tell her what they said, she’d say, "Call them back and ask them this." So, I’m like "okay" and I would call AGAIN and tell her AGAIN what they said. I swear she would often have me call another time or two. I’m sure the person on the other end of the phone was thinking how we need to get our act together. To keep myself from feeling like the world’s biggest ninny, I’d remind myself, "It’s not ME that is calling these people back fifty times. It’s just my job. I’d rather call the person back than explain to my boss why I haven’t called them.")
name a movie you missed seeing in the theatre and wished you hadn’t- The Mummy Returns and The Matrix (there are plenty more - I only recently started going to the theatre!)
have you ever had a lemonade stand when you were younger?- Yes
have you ever prank called someone- yes
ever played spin-the-bottle- no
ever had an attack of the giggles in a place where it was inappropriate to laugh?- Yes! When I was in high school chemistry class, the teacher was going over the material so incredibly fast. I was furiously writing, trying to make notes of everything she was saying, and all of the sudden, I momentarily lost my mind, and I just laughed and laughed.
have you ever been in a school play or a talent show- oh yes! Just about every year in k-5th grade, we did a school play. In 6th and 7th grade I was in the chorus and we did Oliver Twist and Tom Sawyer. In most of the school plays, I didn’t have a major part. I was also in church youth group Christmas plays for several years - twice I had to sing, and I thought those turned out pretty well.
favorite shampoo- I’m still looking for a really good one. I love the way Pert Plus smells! Right now, I’m using Prell; it’s alright, but I’m gonna try something else.
do you wash your hair every day?- usually every other day - sometimes twice in a row if I know my schedule for the week is going to be thrown out of whack.
NEW QUESTIONS -(in no particular order!)
If you were married and, God forbid, your husband cheated on you, what would you do? It would probably depend on the circumstances. If it was a one-time thing, I’d insist we go to counseling. (After I kicked him in the crotch until my foot hurt … just kidding(?) ) If it had been an ongoing thing, I don’t know; that would be a literal nightmare. I just can’t imagine a worse sort of betrayal - it would take a lot to repair!
If you eat baked potatoes, what way(s) do you like them? So many ways! With butter & sour cream. With Pace Salsa and cheese. With BBQ sauce. With cottage cheese. With Soy Sauce. Sometimes even with just salt and pepper.
Do you have any posters in your room? If so, how long have they been hanging? I have a poster of Vincent from Beauty and the Beast on my closet doors - it’s been there since about 1988. I have two pics of Johnny Depp on the inside of the closet door (which is often open, btw) and I have a pic of Richard Grieco hanging near the vanity where I put on my face. I guess the JD and RG pics have been up since 1989 or 1990.
If you could pick whether your baby would be a boy or a girl, which would you pick, or would you pick? I’d pick a girl, because you can buy cuter things for a girl. (Plus, I wouldn’t become target practice at diaper changing time!)
Have you or would you ever give/given blood? I have never given. I don’t know if I would give because I sure hate the thought of that needle being stuck in my arm for 20 minutes or however long to fill up the bag.
Have you ever laughed so hard that milk came out of your nose? Yes! I was watching the Golden Girls in about 1984 and drinking chocolate milk … I’ll leave the rest to your imagination!
That’s about it for now. Talk to you soon! God bless!
Anne
