Subject: do you have to labor on Labor Day?
Hi Anne!
I have to go to work tomorrow. Boo! Life really does go on, I guess. Do you have to work Labor Day? I was originally off but Ed asked to switch with me and I said okay. No big deal. Can you believe it’s going to be September already? Pretty soon I’ll be writing out my Christmas cards!
Re: Nicholas, the cute pony-tailed guy, I too am the "Queen of the Delayed Reaction"! If you ever do get the courage to ask him out for coffee sometime, you are a braver soul than I! I’d probably be so nervous I’d say something like, "Would you like to go out for a cuff of coppee sometime?" Ok, the next time you see him, just smile sweetly and maybe even offer a nice hello. Just be yourself! Besides, if he wants you, wouldn’t he be the one asking you out?
That reminds me of a quite embarassing- I’ve learned my lesson- story reguarding Harry. Yes, I’ve only been out once in my entire life and yet I’ve learned so much from that expirence! It was a few weeks after our first and only date. Anyway, he had mentioned a few times that we would definitely go out again (gee, a whole year later and I’m still waiting!), and yet he hadn’t specifically asked me out again, and I was starting to get impatient! Anyway, I was over J&W (the store where he works at), and after I bought my purchases, we were talking a little bit. He asked me if I was working later on in the evening (it was about 10 am). Well, my heart kinda jumped because why would he care if I was working? I said no. I also mentioned that Danielle was off too (just to make conversation). He then said something along the lines of "Are you going to go to the movies?" (meaning me and Danielle). Well, in a momentary lapse of desperation I thought he said, "Are we going to the movies?" Like he was asking me out or something and I stupidly said, "Do you mean you and me?" and well, he just acted like I asked him to cut his side open and give me a kidney! I just felt really foolish and I was so angry at myself for clearly showing him how much it meant to me that we go out again! If I could go back, my attitude would have been so different. I just wouldn’t have cared. I don’t know, am I blowing this way out of porportion? I know this happened more than a year ago, but even when I see Harry now I feel like he’s thinking about all the stupid things I did. He did stupid things too, but I’m just talking about myself.
Hey! When are you going to scan that picture of Darrell? I’m really curious as to what he looks like! How about other guys you have had crushes on? Have any of their pictures you can scan? I only have a very old picture of TJ (he was 16 then and he’s 29 now) and of Jeff (he was about 17 then and he’s 27 now). I don’t know if I ever mentioned this or not but Chaz kinda resembles Clark Gable. And you know how i said Bob the produce man reminds me of Craig T Nelson? Well, he also resembles Steve Frost who is one of the regulars on the British version of Who’s Line Is It Anyway. I even think he has his own website, but the address escapes me. When I find it, I’ll send it to you.
Cindy Morgan has a new album out! Yeah! Maybe I’ll order it from amazon.com or maybe I’ll wait for it to come out on Sound and Spirit. They don’t have the newest cds. I’ll have to wait a few months. But hey, good things come to those who wait!

funny moment- from The Golden Girls. Dorothy and Rose remodeled the bathroom all by themselves. They were all finished and they (along with Blanche) decided to take a "test run" of the toilet, sink and shower to see if they were all working properly. One of them said, "All right girls, on the count of three. One, two three!" and each proceeded to flush the toilet, turn the sink on and turn the shower on. Everything worked and the three of them jumped up and down, yahooing all over the place. Sophia, famous for her last words, looks at them and says, "Knock it off! It’s water, not oil!"

>Do you try not to cry in front of other people? Yes, because I just think crying is a private thing.
>
>Does your family often say "I love you" to each other? I was going to ask you this! No we don’t. I just don’t think it needs to be said. I know my family loves me and I love them. I remembered when I was in High School the one girl I walked to school with always said, "I love you mom!" when she would leave her house. Then she would proceed to tear her mom to shreads. I wanted to ask her, "Why do you say ‘I love you’ to her, when you act like you hate her guts?" I think most people who say "I love you" really dont feel it anyway.

>Have you thought about a last name that you’d like? Hmmm… never thought of it. Although Vosloo does have a nice ring to it! Mrs. Michele Vosloo! Yes, that does look nice! (lol)
>Do you hesitate to throw things away because you think you might need them again? I really do! I hate to throw out clothes that I never even wear because I just know I’ll need them again. I also hate to delete old documents from the computer for the same reason.
Yep, me too! Isn’t it spooky how much we have in common?>
>Do you like to get souvenirs of places you’ve been? yes. Usually it’s a postcard or a pamphlet

new questions
ok, say its two years from now and you haven’t met Mr. Right yet. You see Ray again, after a long absense. He has totally changed into a better person and he wants to give the relationship another chance- what would you do?- I’m thinking about Harry, and I don’t know unless I had an absolute gaurentee that not only he would never do drugs again, but also he had miracliously transformed into the passionate man of my dreams, I’d be very wary!
here’s another what would you do question- what would you do if you and Darell were alone together and well, you know, he started kissing you?- Ok, I’m thinking about produce Bob. The moral side of me would want to push him away. This isn’t right! He is married! Danger! Danger! that side would be screaming at me. But the carnal side of me would just want to give in to my desires and let my body melt into his and just kiss him! Let me enjoy the moment now and worry about the consequences of my actions later! Thank God, I never got the chance to find out what I would have done!
what was the nicest thing a man has said to you? - two years ago when I found out we were moving, I began telling my favorite customers when my last day was. I had told Bob, another one of my crushes and he said something along the lines of, "Well, I wish you all the luck in the world. You deserve it. The world needs more beautiful women of character like you." I was on cloud nine for the rest of the day!
do you like grilled cheese sandwiches?- love them! My favorite is with swiss cheese and tomato! Yum! (maybe I’ll make one after I send this out to you!)
what is one thing you would like to see during your lifetime?- A cure for all types of cancer.
(this is kinda gross!) Did you ever throw up in school?- no, thank God! I remember I did once have a close call. I was in the fourth grade and it was the last period of the day and I started feeling sick. By the time school was over and my mom drove me home, I was really sick. I went into my house and up the stairs and into the bathroom. I just made it to the toilet when …..
on that lovely note (sorry about that last question coming so soon after the grilled cheese one), I’ll say bye for now! Take care and God bless!
Michele
