Hi, Michele!

I also was reminded of Bruce and Arnold flicks I have seen, particulary of Die Hard 1 and 3 and True Lies. I know what you mean about it being unbelievable - it is so huge; it’s like, "This can’t be happening!" But it is. I feel so sorry for the people on the planes - what terror they must have felt as the hijack occurred and then to know that they were about to crash into those buildings.

In other news, I wrote back this morning to Mr. Aussie guy. I was very brief. Hey, he’s not going to send one short sentence and receive five long paragraphs! And it would definitely be just like my luck for me to blow him off and then he’s actually a Mel Gibson double. You know, Australia is one of the places I would love to visit . . . I was just thinking, "If that guy is that great, why is he using that service anyway?" He could wonder the same about me, I guess!

Yes, a virgin strawberry daiquiri is non-alcoholic. I thought that was a universal term - I guess not, eh? It was good anyway. (Side note: would an alcoholic drink be a "slut" daiquiri?) Anyhoo, sushi?! I don’t think I could bring myself to eat that! You are a braver gal than I! I’m sure it’s tasty but I couldn’t do it.

I was wondering if I could tactfully ask John Inman, the preacher’s soon to be leaving son, if he has email. But what would be the point? Should we email back and forth and really get to know/like each other and then still be several states apart? I don’t guess so. I’d also like for him to have my website address - then he could keep in touch with my life happenings. I just don’t know. I’m just trying not to lose touch with him, although I didn’t actually touch him when he was here! Wait … that didn’t come out right. :)

Re: your trip to Florida in two months, I really do believe that everything will be okay! You can bet that extra ( and extra extra) security will be in place.

My boss told me that I don’t have to come back after class today. That is pretty cool although I wish it wasn’t under these circumstances.

So how are the gasoline prices there? When I passed the gas stations this morning, they were all the same price they’ve had all week. I really hope it doesn’t double or triple in price - I’ll have to take some vacation time until it goes down again. I already spend about $80 a month on gas - I can’t afford for it to double!!

today’s recommendation-
one of my favorite tv show moments is from Caroline in the City when Caroline is in her apartment. After a big mess (in Spain) she thinks that she’ll never see Richard again. A knock at the door wakes her up from where she cried herself to sleep on the sofa holding a pint of ice cream. It’s Richard at the door. He tells her that he and soon-to-be ex-wife Julia have realized it wasn’t meant to be with them. During their conversation, Caroline admits that she and her boyfriend have broken up as well. Caroline and Richard almost go their separate ways, until the lady in the elevator urges Richard to spill his guts. He goes forward and blurts out to Caroline that it didn’t work with Julia because "She isn’t you."
Sniff! Sniff! It’s a beautiful scene! There are more gushy words, and finally their long-awaited passionate kiss . . .

(And I loved Sleepless in Seattle - especially the final scene. I’d like to think that all "meant to be" relationships work out that perfectly!)

That’s it for today. Talk to you soon! God bless!
God bless America!
